The purpose of this training is to give an overview of immigration matters which may arise in a general advice practice, either as issues in themselves or as complicating factors in other issues. For CAB (or other) advisers who are already registered at OISC level 1 it should show how the applications we may be asked to assist with fit into the overall picture of immigration control.
The sections below will not receive equal weight: 1, 2, 4 and 5 will receive more attention, with 3, 6 and 7 being very briefly covered. Section 8 may be available as a postscript for those who do not need to rush off.
