The Connecting Advice in Dorset project sadly came to an end of 30th November 2015. The project took forward a number of activities, including:

  • building ongoing relationships between local advice providers and putting into place a number of Local Advice Networks
  • up-skilling advisers through a wide-ranging programme of training and events
  • developing business planning skills and resilience
  • sharing information across the advice sector through a fortnightly e-bulletin
  • piloting the delivery of advice through video-linking
  • delivery of advice to clients in urban Bournemouth and Poole, and young people in rural Dorset
  • establishing this website
  • preparing the local advice sector for the implementation of Universal Credit, through a programme of training and forums
  • carrying out Equality Healthchecks to local advice providers
